On May 3, our k-3 students were lucky to have a visit from Caldecott award winning author and illustrator Jason Chin! Students loved listening to him read some of books and talk about his writing...

Welcome to our #TeacherFeatureFriday. This year we will continue to take each Friday to introduce you to the amazing members of our Sunset View staff.
Today, we are introducing our Music teacher, Kellie Valdez. Mrs. Valdez has two daughters, three sons, and one grandson! Mrs. Valdez has lots of favorites. Her favorite food is ice cream, her favorite sport is swimming, her favorite season is Spring, and her favorite book is ‘Little Women’! Some goals Mrs. Valdez has for this year are to have more fun with her students, to be a better teacher, and to be happy! A few of her hobbies include playing games with her family, trying to beautify her home and yard, reading, and watching movies/TV shows! If Mrs. Valdez wasn’t our Music teacher, she would be a homemaker!

Bienvenidos a nuestro #TeacherFeatureFriday. Este año continuaremos tomando cada viernes para presentarles a los increíbles miembros de nuestro personal de Sunset View.
Hoy, presentamos a nuestra maestra de música, Kellie Valdez. La Sra. Valdez tiene dos hijas, tres hijos y un nieto. La Sra. Valdez tiene muchos favoritos. Su comida favorita es el helado, su deporte favorito es la natación, su estación favorita es la primavera y su libro favorito es “Mujercitas”. Algunas de las metas que la Sra. Valdez tiene para este año son divertirse más con sus estudiantes, ser una mejor maestra y ser feliz. Algunos de sus pasatiempos incluyen jugar con su familia, tratar de embellecer su casa y su jardín, leer y ver películas y programas de televisión. Si la Sra. Valdez no fuera nuestra maestra de música, sería ama de casa.
