Students in Mrs. Metz’ class have been working on applying the Engineering Design Model as they build and modify different types of ‘vehicles’ that could be used to transport a set number of passengers and their luggage. Students were able to test their designs against specific variables, including drag and wind resistance, make changes to their designs, and retest them to see if their improvements worked. It’s been a great learning opportunity for them all. If you get a chance, ask one of Mrs. Metz’ students what their favorite part of this lesson was!
