Sunset View Elementary School

This month in art, some classes learned how to draw a cliff and then the students added their own creative additions. I saw castles, campsites sharks and mermaids, hot air balloons, an airplane, etc. They really turned out cute!

Also, some classes learned about the artist Mondrian and did tape resist painting. Those are a lot of fun!

Fifth graders learned about Claude Monet and combined a painting like his with some cool bridges!

Sixth graders learned about Dutch windmills and their blue souvenir plates and painted some of their own!

Third graders drew their dream tree houses. They were very creative with slides to pools underneath, and keep out signs!

Second graders made silly socks with winter boots or ice skates.

First graders learned about transportation and painted hot air balloons with Match Box trucks for paintbrushes – you can see the cool texture and pattern the truck wheels created!

We also had fun this month with St. Patrick’s Day projects, weaving, making our own matching game, and collages!

Mrs. Johnson loves all of her students!

Especialidades – Arte con la Sra. Johnson
