Sunset View Elementary School

We are so excited to introduce our Provo Reads theme for this year, Readers ARE Winners! We want each child to realize that when they read they are developing their own superpower to help them face life’s challenges. Reading helps kids’ brains grow, so when we read, we win! To reward kids for reading, they can enter books that they read into a drawing for books and other prizes which will take place every two weeks from now until December. They can enter in the library or on the library canvas classroom. The school with the most drawing entries will win $400 for new books, so we are working together to read as many books as we can. Books can be read at home or at school and can be in physical, ebook, or audiobook format.

If you would like a suggestion of some good books to get started, check out this year’s Beehive Books on our library website! These are books picked by Utah librarians just for students. There are fiction, picture, informational, poetry, and graphic novel books included on the list. Miss Fisher is “buzzily” trying her best to get books to each student and support them in their reading journey this year. If you ever have any questions feel free to reach out to her!
