Sunset View Elementary School

The Golden Apple Award for Excellence in Teaching honors outstanding teachers for their roles in having lasting, positive effects on students’ lives. As well as a significant, positive impact on their students’ growth and learning. The Provo School District along with the PTA recognizes each Teacher from each school in the District who wins the Golden Apple Award each year. In the past, the Teachers have been given a gift by the PTA at the school’s assembly, and an award by the District at a formal dinner. This year due to our current situation. We do not know what we will be doing. The details will be announced at a later time. The deadline for voting is February 25th.

Watch for the announcement of the winning Teacher on the PTA’s Facebook page, and the school’s website and social media accounts. We have so many outstanding Teachers at Sunset View, and we realize that it will be hard to decide who to vote for. But please be honest and follow the rules.

-Rules for voting-

1- Only the parents or legal guardians of a student currently enrolled at Sunset View Elementary are allowed to vote.

2- Each household is allowed one vote for each student currently attending (In-Person, or Home Study) Sunset View Elementary. For example: If you have one student enrolled at SSV, you get one vote for your household. If you have 3 students enrolled at SSV, you get three votes for your household, and so on.
