Sunset View Elementary School

Over the past several weeks, students have been actively competing in reading battles during library as part of the America’s Battle of the Books program. Through a series of competitions, teams have been narrowed down to one team per class, who then competed against the other classes in their grades until we got one champion team per grade. The champion teams from each grade competed until we had a 3/4 grade champion and a 5/6 grade champion. Those two teams will be moving on to compete against other schools in the district on April 21. We are so proud of how hard our students have worked during these battles and how far they all made it. Congrats to our two winning teams, The Golden Readers from Miss Baker’s class and The Reading Phoenixes from Mrs. Metz’s class who will be moving on to represent Sunset View at the district level next month!
