This past month was very exciting in the library. Students wrapped up their in-school battles for Battle of the Books and we had two teams move on to compete at the District Battle of the Books. Both teams did very well and the 5th-grade team from Mrs. Metz’s class took 2nd place in the district overall!

Students have also been studying different elements of their social studies core curriculum and students enjoyed visits from some guest presenters who have lived in different countries around the world.

As we move into May we would like to remind everyone that all library books are due at the end of this week. Students will be reviewing how to log on to Sora so that they can read eBooks and audiobooks for the remainder of the year while the physical library books are being inventoried.

We have had a great year in library this year and look forward to more fun activities next year!”

Especialidades destacadas – Biblioteca con la Sra. Hunt

El mes pasado fue muy emocionante en la biblioteca. Los estudiantes terminaron sus batallas en la escuela para la Batalla de los Libros y tuvimos dos equipos que pasaron a competir en la Batalla de los Libros del Distrito. Ambos equipos lo hicieron muy bien y el equipo de 5º grado de la clase de la Sra. Metz obtuvo el segundo lugar en el distrito.

Los estudiantes también han estado estudiando diferentes elementos de su plan de estudios sociales y los estudiantes disfrutaron de las visitas de algunos presentadores invitados que han vivido en diferentes países de todo el mundo.

A medida que avanzamos en mayo nos gustaría recordar a todos que todos los libros de la biblioteca se deben al final de esta semana. Los estudiantes estarán revisando cómo iniciar sesión en Sora para que puedan leer libros electrónicos y audiolibros para el resto del año, mientras que los libros de la biblioteca física están siendo inventariados.

Hemos tenido un gran año en la biblioteca este año y esperamos más actividades divertidas el próximo año!”
