Students in Mrs. Metz’ class have completed their Rawhide Projects and Presentations. For this assignment, students selected a lesson from their history book and made a Native American rawhide poster to share with the class about one or more of the people who inhabited the geographical area studied in their lesson. Their posters included drawings and information to answer the main questions for their geographic area. Geographic areas included the Desert Southwest, the Pacific Coast, the Great Plains, and the Eastern Woodlands. Aside from learning history, this allowed the students to practice their paraphrasing skills, as they needed to paraphrase the information they read to include it on their poster, and then paraphrase their posters to share them with the class. Check out the pictures below to learn more about these regions and the people who inhabited them.
