We recognize that many in our community have concerns about the rapid outbreak of COVID-19 and its impact on the health and well-being of family members. Parents may hold their students out of school for health and safety reasons, and these absences are not counted toward the definition of chronic, or an unexcused, absence.
Also, any absence related to the 14-day quarantine protocol related to recent travel warnings, as provided by the CDC, will be considered as excused absences. Schools are prepared to work with each student’s circumstances to support families during this health crisis. Please contact your school’s administration if you have any specific questions relating to attendance.
