Welcome to our first ever Meet-the-Teacher Monday! Each Monday, we will be spotlighting one of our teachers and sharing a little bit about them with you. Our teacher this week is one that is new to Sunset View – Mrs. Fordham.
Mrs. Fordham studied at Utah Valley University, where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. She has been teaching for five years. She is teaching third grade this year and also has experience teaching fourth and fifth grades. In her free time, she enjoys sewing and quilting. She also enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, teaching sewing classes, riding her bike, and watching TV. Mrs. Fordham loves watching romantic comedies because she loves people. She says that she enjoys the fun, feel-good moments that make her happy. Mrs. Fordham’s favorite book is Charlotte’s Web because it is a tender story about how you can come together and overcome a challenge. The animals speak to each other and have so much personality. While her favorite book is one with talking animals, Mrs. Fordham says that she is not an animal person. She has no pets, but her children have a variety of pets. Mrs. Fordham has been married for 30 years. She has 8 children, 5 girls and 3 boys, with her husband Jeff. She is also a grandma to 6 beautiful grandchildren. Mrs. Fordham would like parents and students to know that she loves teaching school! She gets so excited to create activities and learning experiences for her students.
We are so lucky to have Mrs. Fordham join our Sunset View Family this year!
