5th Grade Colonial Days

News
On “Colonial Days” students learned about life on the Mayflower and eating food that moved, a.k.a. insects that grew in the ship’s biscuits. They also learned what it was like to go to school in the new world. Students played games that children would have played in the 1600s like hopscotch, hide and seek, and marbles. They had fun doing their writing with a quill and ink as well.
En los “Días Coloniales” los alumnos aprendieron sobre la vida en el Mayflower y a comer alimentos que se movían, es decir, insectos que crecían en las galletas del barco. También aprendieron cómo era ir a la escuela en el nuevo mundo. Los estudiantes jugaron a juegos que los niños habrían jugado en el 1600 como la rayuela, el escondite y las canicas. También se divirtieron escribiendo con pluma y tinta.
