#teacherfeaturefriday – Mrs. Harmon
Hooray for Friday! It’s the day you get to learn more about the fantastic staff members we have working at Sunset View Elementary! This year we will continue to take each Friday to introduce members of our Sunset View family.
Today, we are introducing one of our amazing First Grade teachers, Mrs. Harmon.
Mrs. Harmon is one of the First Grade teachers at Sunset View! Mrs. Harmon is from Calcutta, India, and has lived in Utah for 36 years! Mrs. Harmon is the fifth of seven children in her family. She and all of her siblings are adopted from different countries around the world. Mrs. Harmon married her husband, Colton, a little over one year ago! This is Mrs. Harmon’s 10th year of teaching. Mrs. Harmon’s go-to snack when watching a show is chocolate. Foods that Mrs. Harmon could eat every day and never get tired of are pasta and sushi. Mrs. Harmon’s favorite memory from elementary school was when they celebrated her birthday in second grade. Mrs. Harmon has a summer birthday, so it was sometimes skipped over, but they celebrated in class with cupcakes and a special radio necklace that she got to wear all day. Each grade level would learn and sing a song for the rest of the school. The last show that Mrs. Harmon binge-watched was ‘That 70’s Show’.
