Homework Policy

Reading

Students are expected to read 30 minutes each night. They can record their minutes on Road to Success. They have the opportunity to earn prizes with this program. If you cannot access Road to Success, please contact me.

Reading has been shown to improve student scores more than any other activity.

Math

Students are expected to practice math facts, especially multiplication and division, for 20 minutes each night, or complete a math sheet.

Students will use math facts with everything they do in math this year. The more automatic these facts are, the more they will be able to concentrate on learning new skills in multiplying and dividing greater numbers, fractions, and decimals.

If students are working on a math sheet and it takes them longer than 20 minutes, they can continue to work on it the next night.

Remember to turn in math sheets for extra homework points!
