Balloons on Broadway Parade at Sunset View

We know you’ve all heard of the Macey’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, but did you know Sunset View had its own balloon parade this year? Second Grade students put on a ‘Balloons on Broadway’ parade as the culmination of one of their units of study. Students started by reading the book ‘Balloons over Broadway.’ They then participated in a virtual field trip to Macey’s Thanksgiving Day Parade before becoming balloon artists and constructing their own floats. Students also did some fun experiments showing how balloons can be inflated for the parade! What a fun activity for these students!
