Specialties Spotlight – Art with Mrs. Johnson
This month in Art, students have focused on ‘seeing the good’ or ‘what they’re grateful for’ and how blessed are to be at Sunset View! We had lots of Thanksgiving projects. The fifth graders drew the Mayflower while the first graders made corn pictures by painting with Legos. We also learned about perspective this month and every grade did a perspective project. You can see some fun photos of 1pt. cities that the fourth graders did. The fifth graders did 1pt. aquariums and the sixth graders did 2pt. cities. Third graders also showed off their cups of hot cocoa in the hallway for everyone now that it is getting cold. Students also had fun doing some science painting using salt to help get the cool snowflake or ocean effects in their paintings. Also featured in the photos are tables full of sketchbooks that we showed off to parents at Parent-Teacher conferences!
