#teacherfeaturefriday – Mrs. Johnson
Hooray for Friday! It’s the day you get to learn more about the fantastic staff members we have working at Sunset View Elementary! This year we will continue to take each Friday to introduce members of our Sunset View family.
Today, we are introducing our amazing Art teacher, Mrs. Johnson.
Mrs. Johnson is the Art teacher at Sunset View! Mrs. Johnson was born in Provo, Utah. She has lived in Utah on and off for her whole life! This is Mrs. Johnson’s second year teaching at Sunset View but she has been teaching for seven years total. Mrs. Johnson and her husband have three sons, one daughter, one daughter-in-law, and two granddaughters! Recently Mrs. Johnson’s husband sold his motorcycle to buy her a motorhome so they could spend more time camping with their family – which is something Mrs. Johnson loves! Mrs. Johnson’s go-to snack when watching a show is anything chocolate or chips with homemade salsa. Mrs. Johnson’s favorite memory from elementary school was when her third-grade teacher taught their class how to crochet and each student made an afghan. They would crochet each day after lunch while the teacher read to them. She remembers crocheting while listening to her teacher read ‘Where the Red Fern Grows’. Her third-grade teacher, and the experiences in that class, are what made Mrs. Johnson want to become a teacher! The last shows that Mrs. Johnson binged were ‘Heartland’ and ‘Itchy Boots’ on Youtube.
