Specialties Spotlight – Art with Mrs. Johnson

October in art class is a spooky good time. We learn about world famous artists. Mrs Johnson says some of them were a little crazy so what better time to learn about them than October. We do Starry night like Vincent Van Gogh but add ghosts. We do Frankenstein distorted faces Picasso style. We do surreal pictures like Salvador Dali. And candy bar pictures Andy Warhol style. And last but not least we do The Scream just like Edward Munch!
We also have haunted house projects from milk cartons, owl and bat drawings etc!
Halloween is a fun time for Mrs. Johnson to show the students her creative side. She loves painting sets for the parade. This year all the specialty teachers painted refrigerator boxes into Barbie boxes! We sure love our students!
