A Halloween Message from Our PTA
Dear Parents,
This academic year is flying by, and we’re excited to share that from October 25th to 31st, Sunset View Elementary will be observing National Red Ribbon Week. The purpose of this week is to inspire our children to embrace a substance-free lifestyle. Drug prevention is an essential aspect of a child’s life, involving the community, school, family, and individual/peer influences. By focusing on these areas, we aim to guide our youth towards positive activities and equip them with the necessary skills to face challenges related to drugs and alcohol.
Throughout Red Ribbon Week, we will host various activities centered around family bonding, community connections, healthy relationships, and personal development and resilience. One of the key events during this week is our Trunk-or-Treat activity, designed to strengthen family bonds and foster a sense of community. Trunk-or-Treat Event Details: Date: Thursday, October 26th Time: 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM
We invite all families to join us for an evening of delightful fun. However, for this event to be a success, we need your support and involvement. Please consider volunteering to help organize and run the Trunk-or-Treat event. You can sign up for specific roles using the links provided below. Your participation is invaluable and greatly appreciated.
Please keep an eye on your email, social media, and flyers that will be sent home for updates on additional activities and resources to support our youth during Red Ribbon Week.
If you have any questions or require further information, feel free to reach out to me at sunsetviewelementarypta@gmail.com. Your engagement and collaboration play a vital role in making our school community a safe and nurturing environment for our children.
