Sunset View Elementary School

Our students recently started their folklore unit in the library. They started by spending a week reading traditional American tall tales and then writing their own tall tales. This week they have enjoyed getting to “travel around the world” in the library and explore folk tales from different countries. Mrs. Hunt arranged the tables in the library to represent the continents on the map. Students “flew” from continent to continent and read folktales from different countries on each continent. When we get back from break they will get to explore fairytales and fables to wrap up the unit. This is one of our students favorite units in the library and we are excited to have it underway!
