There’s So Much to Be Thankful For: an Amazing STEM Night
Sunset View would like to thank all of the students and parents who came to support our school at our annual STEM Night. We had an amazing night together making slime, studying different animals, testing chemicals over bunsen burners, eating marshmallows that had been soaked in liquid nitrogen, building catapults, creating rockets out of balloons, experiencing the wonders of virtual reality, playing with robots, discovering how typewriters can be connected to computers and coded to make art, and so much more! Our staff loved interacting with our Sunset family and seeing them experience the joys of STEM in action.
We are excited about our upcoming STEM Fair and the different projects that will be submitted. Mrs. Parker will have more information about the STEM Fair coming for students and parents who weren’t able to attend our STEM Night.
We would like to thank Google Fiber and Craft Lake City for their sponsorship all they did to help our STEM Night, as well as all of the partners who set up booths: USU Extension, Much More than a Toy, the Bean Museum, Teletype Corporation, VRDev Kids, Thanksgiving Point, UVU College of Science, Provotypes, and the Provo City Library. Our STEM Night would not have been such a success without them!
As always, a big shout out and thank you to our teachers who helped with our STEM Night too! We not only have the best students in all of Provo, but we also have the best Teachers!
