Sunset View Elementary School

Hooray for Friday! It’s the day you get to learn more about the fantastic staff members we have working at Sunset View Elementary! This year we will continue to take each Friday to introduce members of our Sunset View family.

Today, we are introducing one of our amazing Fifth Grade teachers, Mrs. Metz.

Mrs. Metz is our Fifth Grade CAS teacher at Sunset View! Mrs. Metz was born in Sacramento, California. She has lived in Utah for the past 45 years. Mrs. Metz and her husband have been married for 45 years! Together they have 4 children, and 14 grandchildren who live in Arizona, Idaho, and Utah! Mrs. Metz has been teaching for 34 years! Mrs. Metz’s go-to snacks when watching a show are black licorice or chocolate-covered cinnamon bears. Mrs. Metz’s favorite memory from elementary school is from when she was in kindergarten. Her dad was the principal and, when asked by her teacher to write a get-well card for the principal because he had been sick (he had back surgery to straighten his back), Mrs. Metz responded “He is not sick, he’s just crooked.” The last show that Mrs. Metz binged was ‘West Wing’.
