A favorite part of our unit on underhand rolling was when students had the chance to go ‘Cosmic Bowling” in the Gym. Lights were dimmed, LED lights turned on, fun space music played, and grades 3-6 kept track of the number of times they knocked down the pins from different distances. The further from the target they chose to roll the ball, the more points they received per pin. Grades K-2 didn’t worry about keeping track of points, all enjoyed playing and using their underhand rolling skills in a real-world experience. Enjoy!
